Blessings of Liberty
Are we settling for the loss of our Liberty?
The Preamble to the U.S. Constitution states:
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union,
- establish justice,
- insure domestic Tranquility,
- provide for the common defense,
- promote the general Welfare, and
- secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity,
do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Our Constitution secures "the Blessings of Liberty" to us and our children, succeeding generations and all Americans. Through consecrating prayer for blessings, the "Founders Fathers" wanted to instill the gift of happiness which promotes prosperity and welfare for all Americans.
By nature men are given to live in society in order to be governed (regulated and punished) by just laws to protect their property of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. Prosperity for our Nation is all things good to form a more perfect Union (Nation); justice for all, freedom from agitation of mind or spirit (faith) and freedom from turmoil (live in peace), maintain national defense, general welfare for everybody, success in family, success in business and arts, and success in reaching personal goals.
Are we on the verge of losing our Nation's Prosperity and the Blessings of Liberty? I'm afraid that we are.
Why aren't we crying out for our Nation to take our country back from those who wish to destroy and take away our liberty? Why is not the news media putting this in the headlines? Why are not the President and members of the Senate and House speaking loudly about the condition and loss of our liberty? Are they so deaf they can't see what's happening just like they ignored the economic crisis?
Why do we elect those who don't understand what is happening to America and to the citizens? Is it our fault? I'm afraid to say it is! But it is! It is up to us, We the People, to defend the Constitution, our freedom, and our liberty.
IN GOD WE TRUST, All Others We Verify. This includes the President, members of Senate and House, state officials, and local officials.
- We verify that they perform their duties to protect the Constitution and enforce the Preamble.
- We verify that they carry out the promises they made during their campaigns.
- We verify that they adhere to the moral standards that we expect from elected officials.
- We verify that they seek out and defeat evil in our Nation and around the World.
