HealthCare Protection Amendment

Healthcare is not a Right but an invasion of my Civil Liberty of Privacy!

Recent efforts and election rhetoric indicates that our Nation is on track for forced governmental health-care coverage: forced on individuals, forced on businesses and forced on local and state governments.

When in our Nation's history was it OK for the government to compete with the private sector? The answer: NEVER! This is a step into socialism and in particular social health-care. Our Health-Care is the best in the world and achieved this while in private hands.

The following amendment to the U.S Constitution is an effort to remedy this situation. This will allow citizens to select their type of health-care coverage, public, private or no plan, how they pay for the coverage, and not be penalized for their choice. This does not prohibit the states to regulate health-care.

	AMENDMENT
[1]	A citizen's freedom to choose a private or public health-care insurance plan of their choice or to choose no plan shall not be denied.
[2]	A citizen's freedom to pay directly for medical services of their choice shall not be denied.
[3]	No law imposing a penalty, tax or fine, of any type, for choosing to obtain or decline health-care coverage of their choice shall be enacted.
[4]	This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by convention in the several States, as provided in the Constitution, within seven years from the date of submission hereof to the States by the Congress.
